This is an example of what can happen when circus people attempt to help other circus people to self-organize. This is not a destination. Rather it is a path, or perhaps a tool, that should change and grow to fit the needs and interests of those it serves. It is intended that this site serve to further the development of a more resilient and successful circus culture. It’s about the lulz, but isn’t it all?
No idea what you’re doing. So what, I’m game. Let’s make Jasper Artistic Director, form a little booking committee. We’ll get a little group to pitch in some money, raise 10.000 or 20,000 bucks, hire a part-time office everything person, book up a few months in several theaters up and down the I-5 boogie and then just self-produce it all and apply for grants later.
Call it a festival. Say, to go with the number 6, six weekends solid winter work, six theaters in 6 towns, rotate them around, fill in the extras, experiment freely with family shows, and late night dance shows, but just commit so one big size, one poster, one office employee, one big touring multi-site six week festival winter 2012.

That’s my 2 cents in nutshell. What’ya say?
