The Comic Book Theater Festival has announced that they are bringing the most innovative visual theatre to their festival.
…the comic book has only existed for a short time, but it has pervaded our culture so much as to change the very way we view cinema, advertising and time itself. The Comic Book Theatre festival has selected us because the combination of sequential art and time-based art is a completely new field–and our use of pop-ups makes us pioneers.
The New Eccentrics have always been committed to bringing something new and fresh to variety entertainment. We involve our audiences in strange new mythic worlds of fabric and paper, while pulling on the raw chaos and audience interaction of vaudeville traditions.
Going to the comic book theatre festival means taking our show to the Next Level! Our goals are building recognition for this new art form, and then BRINGing BACK our show to share it with YOU; creating more immersive craziness, bigger pop-ups, more danger, more avant guard weirdness! Fused with a comic book!
Currently, we find it convenient to live in our New Eccentrics Tour Bus, bouncing between gigs on the west coast. This keeps us mobile…but it is also because it keeps our costs low so we can pursue the fringes of avant guard vaudeville.
Unfortunately, the travel costs alone of this venture have broken the New Eccentrics’ bank.
Here’s what we still need.

Total Funds Required: $1070
We’ve already purchased our tickets, on a whim and a prayer, and have $45 to our name until we start raising some arty funds!
What you can DO for The New Eccentrics:
If every one of you 400+ fine folks each donated $3 to our cause, we’d be in nyc without a doubt!
What you GET from the new Eccentrics:
Each and every one of You who donate a minimum of $5 will receive a “Special Thanks” in this event AND in our Blog.
